Isoxuprina Wk – Equi Systems Lab – 500 Ci

COMPOSITION:
Each tablet of 300 mg. contains: Isoxuprine HCl 20 mg. Excipients c.s.p. 1 comp.

Isoxuprina Wk PRESENTATION:
Pots containing 500 and 1000 tablets.

INDICATIONS:
Isoxuprine is a vasodilator.
It is used to relieve the symptoms of peripheral and central vasculopathies such as arteriosclerosis, Buerger’s disease, Raynaud’s disease, Navicular disease. Sesamoiditis. Laminitis.

ISOXUPRINA WK – Equi Systems lab – 500 c DOSAGE:
The daily dose varies between 0.6 and 1.2 mg./kg.p.v. in 2 doses (one every 12 hours). An indicative dose for a horse of normal size is 10 tablets 2 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the condition, but you should take medication for at least 8 weeks. Although Isoxuprine is a drug that produces improvement in 70/80% of cases, great results should not be expected in horses that have lapsed for more than a year.

Administration way:
Oral. The animal must be fasting and no food should be administered until 30 minutes after taking Isoxuprine.

WARNINGS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use in pregnant females or those that have recently given birth (you must wait 30 days after delivery). Also do not use in animals with bleeding wounds or with coagulation disorders.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
Administered at the indicated doses, it is very rare to observe them. Exceptionally, it can cause hypotension, tachycardia, behavioral disorders and vigorous scratching of the nose against objects.
