EUTANÁSICO EQUINO – EQUISYSTEMS – 100ML
All those situations that require euthanasia.
To be used in sport horses. The corpses of the animals euthanized with this product must be destroyed so that they cannot be used for human or animal food consumption.
COMPOSITION: Procaine HCl 60 g Benzil alcohol 2 mL Distilled water q.s. 100 mL
PRESENTATION: Amber vials containing 100 mL
ADMINISTRATION: Fast Intravenous injection. With the animal in prone position the intracardiac route can be used.
DOSAGE: For a regular size horse, the recommendation is to apply the whole content of the bottle through the quickest possible way, and using the needle provided with the package. In hyperexcited animals, if the application was very slow, or if there was extravasation, it may be necessary to double the dose. In foals or small horses, apply 20 to 25 mL each 100 kg live weight.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS: If possible, avoid the use of the product in hyperexcited animals. In these cases, the recommendation is to use tranquilizers (i.e., acepromazine), and once the sedation is achieved, apply the euthanasia drug. If the horse is standing, the operator must be alert during the application of the injection, because the fall is abrupt. Do not abandon the animal until its death is verified. It is important to have the whole product to be employed, already loaded in syringes, so as to inject the whole dose in the least possible time. Due to its high concentration, at very low temperature, procaine may precipitate. In that case, put the bottle in a double boiler. In case of an accidental injection, the antidotes are: Sodium Thiopental (1 geach 100 kg live weight) and Succinylcholine (1 mg/kg). Apply artificial ventilation with oxygen 100 %.
