Edemax – 30 ml

Edemax formula is dexamethasone sodium phosphate 0.06% with Trichlormetiazide 1%.
Possibly with Synedem, one of the first and most famous diuretic + Dexa products for racing.

Trichlormetiazide is the name of the active principle of an antihypertensive diuretic of the thiazide group with properties very similar to those of hydrochlorothiazide.

In its action as a diuretic, trichlormetiazide promotes renal water loss.1 It exerts its action by inhibiting the reabsorption of Na + / Cl- at the level of the distal tubules of the kidney. Trichlormetiazide also increases potassium excretion.
Trichlormethiazide appears to block the active reabsorption of chlorine and possibly sodium at the level of the ascending loop of Henle in the kidney. This action produces the excretion of sodium and water and this is the basis of its action as a dike.
Its hypotensive effects are not necessarily due to its action as a diuretic. Thiazides generally cause vasodilation by activating calcium-dependent potassium channels in vascular smooth muscle and inhibit various carbonic anhydrase in vascular tissue.

Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate (DSP)0.6 mg, Trichlormethiazide 10 mg, Excipients q.s. 1 ml.

a) proportion: 

DSP 0.6mg/ml = 6mg/10ml = 0.06%

Trichlorm. 10mg/ml = 100mg/10ml = 1%

b) Each bottle :

DSP 18mg , Trichlorm. 300mg

Dosages range from approximately 3 to 8 ml depending on many factors.

For safe application pre-race: 5 ml for 5 days (IV or IM), suspend 36hs before the race .

The conditioning factor in this product, to be used to closebefore the race is the time of excretion of the Trichlormethiazide.
Depending on accumulation in blood and other factors, an application of Trichlormethiazide may delay excretion between 12 and 36 hours.

If is used only in a “low dose application” (without having used Trichlormethiazide before, the week before the race) it´s possible to minimize the excretion times until 12 hours before the Race.

Successful cases of application are known at 6 hours before the race, but it´s necessary to make applications and test  before executing this risky application technique so close the competition.
